With the recent death of beloved actor Chadwick Boseman you may be contemplating your own life. Your accomplishments, your failures, your aspirations. Death of the young and successful reminds us that no one is immune to death. This is a fate we all share. With an hour glass who's sand starts to flow with our first breath, it’s good to do periodic checks and balances to gauge where you are in life. Likewise, remember that life isn’t a competition. Base your choices on what works best for YOU.
Find what makes you happy and do that. Whether it’s a hobby, career, or relationship. You owe it to yourself. So often we get caught up with the expectations of others…parents, colleagues, partners. Although the opinions of these people may matter, they are not the end all be all. Your life is YOURS. Live it as you see fit.
When it’s all said and done, life is about being the best version of yourself and not hurting others in the process. I’m not saying you won’t experience hurt, that’s an unrealistic view. I’m saying if you do your best to be good to people (including yourself), operate in honesty, and throw a little fun in every chance you get; then you will have happiness in life.
Life does not come without challenges; these challenges show us what we’re made of and we’re made of good stuff. People Are Positive Energy Receptors. Spread that positive energy and let your light shine.
To the family of Chadwick Boseman, we at That Paper Shop send prayers of comfort and strength.
